RKC Waalwijk and Heerenveen resumed their seasons on Saturday with a 0-0 draw.

Andries Noppert was back in league action after representing the Netherlands at the World Cup. The goalkeeper made a good save halfway through the first half to deny Mika Biereth.

Milan van Ewijk went close for Heerenveen but the best chance of the game fell to Mats Seuntjens of RKC. He rounded Noppert but saw his effort come back off the post.

Heerenveen lost Sven van Beek to injury but they saw out the clash to take a point on the road. Heerenveen is in 7th with RKC two spots below them.
