RKC Waalwijk forward Denzel Slager has joined English League One side Coventry City on a free transfer.

The 18-year-old has signed a 18-month-deal with the League One side, who currently sit 10th in the division despite suffering a 10-point deduction for entering administration.
The youngster impressed Coventry coach Steven Pressley when he spent a trial period with the club recently, but RKC have now allowed the player to leave the club for free.
Slager appeared 10 times for RKC this season, with nine if those coming from the bench, while the forward netted his only goal for the club in a 4-1 defeat to Go Ahead Eagles in August.
Coventry completed the deal in time for Slager to make his debut in the FA Cup tie with Barnsley on Saturday. Slager started the game, and plauyed 57 minutes in the Sky Blues shock 2-1 victory over the Championship side.
