RKC Waalwijk pulled away from the drop zone after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Heracles Almelo.

With ADO Den Haag and Willem II both losing, RKC had the opportunity to boost their survival hopes against Heracles, who were without Silvester van der Water as he completes his move to Orlando City.

Ola John opened the scoring for RKC in the 11th minute as he beat his opponent before outsmarting Janis Blaswich. Lennerd Daneels then doubled the lead in the 23rd minute with a strike from distance.

Heracles offer very little in terms of a threat and with fifteen minutes left, Richard van der Venne capped a wonderful afternoon for RKC with a great goal.

The win moves RKC nine points clear of the bottom three in 15th, while Heracles are 11th.
