Bottom side RKC Waalwijk have booked their second win of the campaign with a shock 1-0 victory at Utrecht.

Utrecht headed into the clash on the back of two heavy defeats to Ajax and AZ Alkmaar. However, they were expected to see off a RKC side that sits bottom with only one win all campaign.

The game did not go to plan for the hosts though, with RKC comfortably holding them in the first half. The visitors could have been in front at the break but Maarten Paes denied Saïd Bakari.

In the second half, Utrecht were awful and in the 69th minute, Melle Meulensteen headed in a Clint Leemans free-kick to give RKC the lead.

John van den Brom’s side pushed for an equaliser but RKC held on to claim all three points. They remain bottom while Utrecht are 7th.
