Robert Molenaar has cited the need for a new challenge. He has been in charge of FC Volendam since July 2015 and last season he managed to help the club to reach the promotion play-offs.

FC Volendam are currently 5th place in the Jupiler league after 31 matches having won 15, drawn nine and lost only seven matches so far this season and they appear on course to once again reach the promotion play-offs at the end of this season.

During his career, Molenaar played for amongst others FC Volendam, Leeds United, Bradford City & RBC Roosendaal. FC Volendam is the 48-year-old’s first post of his managerial career.
