Roda JC have signed Feyenoord midfielder Simon Gustafson on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old Swede fell out of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s plans last season and was mostly deployed in Jong Feyenoord’s matches.
With the view of gaining regular Eredivisie action, Feyenoord have sent Gustafson on loan to Roda JC for the next year.
Technical director Harm van Veldhoven told the Roda JC website, “Simon is a talented left-footed attacking midfielder that has a fantastic technique. With his understanding, he can set other players free through the middle. We would like to thank Feyenoord for making this transfer. ”
Gusafson signed for Feyenoord in 2015 from BK Hacken, but has only made 21 appearances for the Eredivisie champions.

I like this move. Gets Gus regular playing time so that if Vilhena leaves next year-strong chance, there is an experienced player ready to fill in.
