The 24-year-old has struggled to hold down a first team spot this season in the German second division, and after talks with Roda JC coach Darije Kalezic, he has decided to return to the Netherlands.
Van Duinen left ADO Den Haag for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the summer, and has made 12 appearances, scoring once.
Van Duinen is the eighth player to join Roda JC this month after deals for Ugur İnceman, Kristoffer Peterson, Rydell Poepon, Marcos Gullón, Jordy Buijs, Georgi Zhukov and Martin Milec.
