Gibril Sankoh has made a return to the Eredivisie by signing with newly promoted Roda JC.

Sankoh has penned a one-year deal to return to the Netherlands where he played in Groningen for 5 years before moving to play in Germany and China. The 32-year-old hoped to re-sign with Groningen but has now opted for the club that won promotion to the Eredivisie via the play-offs last season.
“I’ve had some great years in China,” the Sierra Leonean told Voetbal International, “but after all this time abroad I wanted to go home and be together with my family.”
