vilhena fey sampDe Telegraaf are reporting that Sampdoria have agreed a €4 million fee with Feyenoord on Tuesday for the 21-year-old midfielder, who has fallen out of favour at De Kuip.

Vilhena made his debut in the Feyenoord first team at the age of 17, and was considered one of the finest young midfielders in Europe as he became a permanent part of Ronald Koeman’s first team.

However since Koeman left last summer, Vilhena has failed to impress firstly Fred Rutten and now Giovanni van Bronckhorst, with the latter happy for the midfielder, who has one year left on his contract, to leave this summer.

Vilhena was hoping to be reunited with Koeman at Southampton, but will now consider whether he wants to remain rooted to the bench at Feyenoord or take up a multi year contract in Italy.
