The Georgian signed for Vitesse back in 2011 and made 104 Eredivisie appearances for the club, scoring 25 times. However, Qazaishvili was deemed surplus to requirements at the start of last season by new coach Henk Fraser and was loaned to Polish side Legia Warsaw.
The 24-year-old has now sealed a permanent move away from Arnhem, with San Jose Earthquakes confirming his arrival, “Pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and ITC.”
Earthquakes general manager Jesse Fioranelli told the club’s official website, “We were looking for a player, a younger, offensive player, that really excites the fans and has the possibility to stay with us for a long period of time. That’s what we found with Vako.
“We wanted a player that knows how to take on a defender one-on-one, that sees the goal and that also wants to bring a spark to our game.”
