Ajax right-back Jorge Sanchez has departed the club to sign for FC Porto on a season-long loan deal.

Sanchez joined Ajax from Club America a year ago but has not been able to hold down a starting spot in Amsterdam.

The club has now confirmed that the Mexican has joined FC Porto on a loan deal, but the Portuguese side does have an option to make it permanent.

Ajax has already signed a Sanchez replacement with Anton Gaaei arriving from Viborg FF.
