PEC Zwolle came back from 2-0 down to book a 3-2 victory over Willem II in Tilburg.

Both teams went into the game in a confident mood after good midweek results, but it was Willem II who struck first on ten minutes with Fran Sol beating Diederik Boer from close range.

Willem II then doubled their lead on 36 minutes through Ben Rienstra, who tapped in after Boer had kept out Ismail Azzaoui’s strike. However, PEC Zwolle got themselves back into the game before the break after Konstantinos Tsimikas committed a foul in the area and Erik Bakker converted the spot kick.

In-form Bartholomew Ogbeche should have restored the hosts two goal lead early in the second half but his header flew inches wide.

That miss proved costly with Mustafa Saymak equalising just after the hour mark with a calm finish before the midfielder sealed PEC Zwolle the three points late on. Younes Namli burst into the box and after his effort was saved, Saymak tapped in to give the visitors the win.

PEC Zwolle consolidates their position in fourth while Willem II are 14th.
