Lasse Schone is available on a free transfer after leaving Genoa and his agent is not ruling out a return to Ajax.

The 34-year-old has had his contract with the Serie A side terminated after failing to make an appearance this season.

Schone’s agent Revien Kanhai of Forza Sports Group has told Voetbal International that a return to Ajax cannot be ruled out.

He said,  “This means that Lasse can look for a club where he can play football again. He is top fit, has been able to train fully every day, and wants to show himself well on the field again in the coming months, with a place in the selection of Denmark for the European Championship as an important goal.

“Lasse and I are convinced that he can still achieve his top level at Ajax. I receive daily calls from clubs and agents about Lasse. But Lasse is rightly critical and wants to take the right step. There are several requests from Italy. But I wouldn’t find a return to Ajax illogical either. Lasse is precisely the perfect person who can bring the sometimes missing balance inside and outside the field. However, it is also dependent on the limited options in the winter window and the negative financial conditions as a result of the corona crisis. So we will look together to see what the right step is now. “
