Jerdy Schouten netted his first goal in Serie A with Bologna coming from behind to defeat Crotone 3-2 on Saturday.

Schouten began the game on the bench and saw his side go 2-0 behind in the first-half. The midfielder then entered the game after the break.

Adama Soumaoro pulled one back before Schouten levelled the game with a nice strike from just outside the box that found the top corner. It was the former Excelsior star’s first goal in the Italian league.

Andreas Skov Olsen then netted the winner for Bologna, who go tenth in the league after the victory.

For Schouten, it is another boost to his blossoming career and the midfielder will be hoping the goal impressed Frank de Boer, who mentioned him as a potential Netherlands international during the last national team period.
