Ajax’s Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread after they were humiliated 6-1 by Napoli on Tuesday evening in Amsterdam.
Speaking to RTL7, Schreuder said, “1-6 seems flattering, but I thought Napoli was much better,”
Schreuder thinks his side are out of his depth, “They had a very good day and we had a very bad day. You saw that today too. If you look at Napoli and Liverpool you will see that they are a size too big for us. That is obvious. I don’t think we are good enough as a team at the moment. I can say who has been sold, but that’s not the point.”
Getting out of the group is now a tough task for Schreuder, “If you’re realistic, it gets harder and harder. We have to win there next week. We will have to take a different approach because this is unworthy of Ajax. This is unacceptable. This is unworthy of Ajax.”
No excuses for schreuder to lose a game like that in this way yes Napoli is having a fantastic season but losing by 6 in your hometown that shows you that schreuder mentality is a loser one
i realised that from liverpool match when he entered the match with defending tactics and never started to attack againts them which we never seen Ajax doing this whatever the team they playing
what i see is a team lacking confidence which was at its best with ten hag
schreuder is ruining what ten hag did in years with his losing mentality
i stopped watching the game after 3-1 knowing that we gonna get hammered it is really a shame from the team and the coach is responsible with them if not the most one to blame
