Dick Schreuder was presented as the new trainer of PEC Zwolle on Friday afternoon.

On Tuesday, PEC Zwolle confirmed that Art Langeler had departed, along with his assistant coach Dwight Lodeweges.

PEC Zwolle have moved quickly and Dick Schreuder was presented to the media on Friday afternoon. It is the 50-year-old’s first job as a head coach, with Schreuder leaving his role as an assistant with Vitesse Arnhem to take the role.

Speaking to the press, Schreuder said, ‘I’m not much of a talker, you notice that. I’m a bit shorter, I try to be clear to the players, so they know where they stand. But I’ve been here for a day now, yesterday I was still on the field at Vitesse. I try to get to know the group quickly and get clarity, then I can also offer that to the players.”

Schreuder has a tough job on his hands with PEC Zwolle rooted to the bottom of the Eredivisie.
