The former midfielder signed a short-term deal until the end of the season to take charge of the struggling La Liga side. It’s his third job in management after AC Milan and Chinese side Shenzen.
Seedorf said, ”I am convinced that I can do the same here at Deportivo La Coruna as I did at AC Milan.
”At AC Milan we picked up 35 points from 19 matches . When I arrived the club was 3 points from the relegation zone.
”If a team loses it’s morale it is difficult to recover. That is why I am here to improve the morale of the team so that we are in good spirits for the match against Real Betis.
”We will also have the support of our supporters because we will need that.
”People always look at experience in football. I already gave examples and I can give more of managers that were not very experienced when they started out and they have managed to do good jobs with their teams.
”For example, Zinedine Zidane he had less experience than me when he started out at Real Madrid and it went well.
”You must see the potential that a manager has and have the courage not to just look at their experience. Otherwise no new managers could begin at new clubs.”
