The Coronavirus has affected Ajax with blood tests in June showing that several players and staff members had antibodies against the disease in their blood.

Ajax spokesman Miel Brinkhuis told AD, “It is true that several employees around the first and second team have had corona.”
However, no player or staff member currently has the virus, “They have been tested again before the preparation and with the exception of goalkeeper André Onana, who is recovering from minor ankle complaints, everyone was on the field today.”
In the run up to the new season, 90 players and staff members have been tested and around 13 had antibodies in their blood. Nobody that suffered has been named by the club.
