The 22-year-old striker made the move to France from Ajax back in January 2020, but he suffered an injury in his first game for the club which limited his appearances before the season was ended early.
In this campaign, he had made 17 appearances for the club before Tuesday’s clash, mostly from the bench, and had yet to score.
However, he finally netted his first goal for Reims in their cup clash with Valenciennes. His shot on the turn made it 1-1 at the break, but in the second half, Reims ended up losing 4-3 to exit the French Cup.
Sierhuis will now be hoping to net his first goal in Ligue 1.
