Ajax’s Kaj Sierhuis netted the only goal of the game as Netherlands U20’s defeated Switzerland U20’s 1-0.

Netherlands dominated from the start but couldn’t find a way through the organised Switzerland defence.
Eventually, Netherlands did find the opener early in the second half when Deyovaisio Zeefuik strode forward before hitting the post with a strike. The Ajax full-back then set up his club teammate Kaj Sierhuis to net from close range.
Both sides then missed good chances as the game ended 1-0. Netherlands U20’s will now face Italy on Tuesday and the squad will be boosted by the arrival of Sam Lammers, Yanick van Osch, Justin Hoogma and Pablo Rosario, who will join up after Netherlands U21’s match with Andorra.
