AD are reporting that Utrecht can forget signing Wesley Sneijder with the midfielder just too expensive for the Eredivisie side.

Ever since he rescinded his contract with Galatasaray earlier this month, Sneijder has been linked with an unlikely move to his hometown club FC Utrecht.
However, AD are reporting that sources close to the club have told them that the deal will not happen with Sneijder’s wage demands far too high for Utrecht. The Utrecht board have tried everything to make the deal plausible but have not come close to what Sneijder expects to earn.
The 33-year-old midfielder will now consider his other options with clubs from the MLS, Italy, Russia and China reportedly interested.
