Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Timothy Fosu-Mensah will leave Manchester United this month or in the summer.

The versatile centre-back is out of contract in the summer and has reportedly rejected a new deal from the club.

Speaking at his press conference before the FA Cup clash with Watford, Solskjaer said that Fosu-Mensah will be leaving the club.

He said, “I don’t know if he will stay longer or if he will make a quick decision. He hasn’t played enough and can talk to other clubs to see if he can leave in January or in the summer.”

Solskjaer is disappointed by the departure, “It is difficult when you have good players, but you cannot give them playing time. He is now in the phase that he has to play. Maybe he will find a new club at the end of January, otherwise in the summer. He is working hard for it, so he’s ready for a new club. “
