Just days after defeating Porto, Feyenoord fell to an embarrassing 4-2 defeat at Fortuna Sittard.

Feyenoord headed to Limburg full of confidence having hammered FC Twente 5-1 last weekend before beating Porto 2-0 on Thursday. Fortuna Sittard, on the other hand were second bottom and without a win all season.

In the second minute, Fortuna Sittard took the lead with Felix Passlack pulling the ball back for Amadou Ciss to fire past Kenneth Vermeer.

Feyenoord equalised in the 27th minute through Ridgeciano Haps, but that proved to be the only highlight for the visitors before the break. Six minutes later, Ciss netted his second with a header before Cian Harries made it 3-1 just before half-time.

At the break, Jaap Stam brought on Nicolai Jorgensen, but just a minute into the second half, Bassala Sambou headed past Vermeer to make it 4-1.

Steven Berghuis pulled one back for Feyenoord but there was to be no comeback with Jorgensen seeing an effort cleared from the line before Luis Sinisterra hit the post.

Its another blow for Stam in what has been a poor start in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord. After nine games they have 13 points and sit ninth. Fortuna Sittard remains second bottom despite the win.
