fewy vileReports in England this week suggested that Koeman was ready to move for the Feyenoord youngster if they sold midfielder Jack Cork. Today Cork completed a move to Swansea City and opened up the possibility of Vilhena leaving Rotterdam.

Speaking to a press conference today, Koeman confirmed his interest in the 20-year-old, “I’m very interested in him. Vilhena is unhappy with his current club and wants to play more. He wants to change club.

“I know him, believe in his qualities and he is still young.”

Vilhena has grown fed up at Feyenoord this season after dropping out of the first team, but boss Fred Rutten today stated that the midfielder would only be sold if they brought in a replacement first.

Vilhena is seen as one of the most talented midfielders in Netherlands, scoring 10 goals in 79 league appearances and earning 16 caps for Netherlands U21 side. There are three days left in the transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether Koeman will pinch another player from his old club after signing Graziano Pelle in the summer.
