Joshua Kitolano scored in the 90th minute as Sparta Rotterdam defeated Excelsior in a local derby.

Excelsior have had the better of their recent meetings with Sparta and they got the first big chance through Marouan Azarkan, but his effort was saved by Nick Olij.
The game was not a spectacle in Het Kasteel and Tobias Lauritsen had the hosts only chance in the first half but his header was too weak to trouble Stijn van Gassel.
Sparta were better in the second half but Vito van Crooij fired wide from a free position and Joshua Kitolano also put an effort over the bar after a good dribble forward.
Olij and Van Gassel remained on top for their sides and it seemed the game was heading for a 0-0 but in the 91st minute, Kitolano fired in a late winner for Sparta.
The win means Sparta are 6th and only four points off a top four spot. Excelsior is in 12th.
