A strong second half ensured PEC Zwolle came away from Rotterdam with a precious three points.

Both sides have been edging closer and closer to the relegation spots over the past few weeks and the first half between the struggling teams was a nervy affair. PEC Zwolle came closest to breaking the deadlock through Ouasim Bouy just before the break, but Ryan Korsmit saved the midfielders effort.
Six minutes into the second half the visitors led through Queensy Menig, who rounded Korsmit before finishing calmly into the empty net. Just after the hour mark Nicolai Brock-Madsen raced through on goal before calmly finishing past Korsmit to make it 2-0 and four minutes before the end PEC Zwolle sealed the win as Erik Israelsson headed in a third.
Sparta Rotterdam threatened an amazing comeback with Matthias Pogba heading in two stoppage time goals but PEC Zwolle hung on for the three points.
The win lifts PEC Zwolle above Sparta Rotterdam into thirteenth spot.
