Sparta Rotterdam has completed the signing of Telstar striker Reda Kharchouch on a two-year deal with the option of a third.

The 24-year-old was playing amateur football until joining Telstar last summer. In his first season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, Kharchouch scored 20 goals in 28 appearances.

Sparta tried to sign the attacker in January, but Telstar refused. The deal has now been confirmed for an undisclosed fee.

Football Director Henk van Stee told the club’s website, “Reda is a boy who quickly caught our attention. His scoring ability stood out, but he is also a boy with a good mentality. He came from the amateurs to Telstar and almost immediately adapted to this level, we believe he can also make the move to the Eredivisie. We already tried to sign him during the winter break, but then we did not reach an agreement with Telstar, but we are very happy that we have now succeeded. “

Sparta have already signed two attackers this summer in Lennart Thy and Danzell Gravenberch.
