After his appointment earlier this week, Dick Advocaat confirmed that Sparta were looking to complete several deals in January in order to stave off relegation.
According to Voetbal Primeur, the first through the door at Het Kasteel is set to be Dabney Dos Santos, who has been told by AZ Alkmaar that he is free to leave in January. The winger has reportedly agreed terms to move to Rotterdam on a loan deal until the end of the campaign. Dos Santos is now just waiting for AZ and Sparta to come to an agreement.
The 21-year-old has been seen as a major talent at the AFAS Stadion over the past few years, but he has struggled for form and minutes so far this season, making only eight appearances. In 92 matches for the AZ first team he has netted 11 goals.
Sparta are also reportedly eyeing a double PSV swoop for Sam Lammers and Adam Maher, while Illias Bel Hassani (AZ), Michiel Kramer (Feyenoord) and Miquel Nelom (Feyenoord) have also been linked.
