The home side went into the tie as the form team and after fifteen minutes they had the lead with Bryan Smeets converting a Halil Dervisoglu cross.
Ragner Ache then made it 2-0 shortly before the break after Melle Meulensteen failed to deal with Abdou Harroui’s cross.
RKC’s chances of making a comeback in the second half were quickly spoiled when Dervisoglu headed in a third for the hosts in the 48th minute. Mohamed Rayhi then added a third on the hour mark to seal a comfortable victory.
Sparta now rises to fifth in the table while RKC remains rock bottom.
