Hannover 96 aren’t the only side looking to sign Wout Weghorst this summer with TC Tubantia reporting that Portuguese giants Sporting CP are also eyeing the AZ striker.

On Sunday, AZ started their pre-season training and afterwards, striker Wout Weghorst stated to the Fox Sport’s camera’s that Bundesliga side Hannover 96 are keeping an eye on him.

Now, TC Tubantia is claiming that Sporting CP are also in the running, with the report adding that the striker had confirmed interest from Portugal but “Can not get into names.”

Sporting CP currently have two Dutch striker’s on their books with Bas Dost and Luc Castaignos plying their trade at the Estádio José Alvalade. However, Castaignos has been heavily linked with a move to Vitesse Arnhem.
