Voetbal International are reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt have rejected an offer from Sporting Lisbon for Dutch forward Luc Castaignos.

The 23-year-old has been linked with both Newcastle United and Southampton in the Portuguese media but it’s Sporting Lisbon who have made their interest concrete, with VI reporting that they have seen a bid rejected for the striker.
Castaignos was signed by Eintracht Frankfurt from FC Twente last summer but had an injury-hit first campaign in Germany, scoring four goals in nineteen Bundesliga matches. He has a contract with the club until 2018, and only a much-improved offer from Sporting will convince them to part with the forward.
Castaignos started his career with Feyenoord, before spells with Inter Milan and Twente.
