According to L’Equipe, Newcastle United and Sporting Lisbon are both interested in signing Utrecht’s French striker Sebastien Haller.

hall uuuThe forward has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, including Everton, Southampton and Swansea City, but so far remains a Utrecht player. Now L’Equipe is reporting that Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon are in talks to sign the 22-year-old, while Newcastle United have enquired about his availability.

Haller originally joined Utrecht on loan from Auxerre in January 2015 but made the move permanent last summer. In 52 Eredivisie ties, Haller has netted an impressive 30 goals and added nine assists.

He has a contract with Utrecht until 2019 and will reportedly cost around €7 million.
