Vreven stated that he was pleased how his team showed passion and intensity with the players fighting for one another to get a point against Utrecht.

Vreven said, ”I think as a neutral supporter that you saw a good game today. Two teams who did not do everything right but had the mentality to win the game.

”I saw my team play today how I want NAC Breda to play with a lot of intensity and passion and with the players fighting for one another.

”We also had chances to win the game today especially in the closing stages and we were unlucky with a deflection from Mark van der Maarel hitting the post in stoppage time.

”This result gives us the confidence to keep believing and eventually to go on to win these types of games.

”As a player I had the best times of my career here at FC Utrecht and it’s nice to return to a club where you are appreciated. But today I returned as manager of NAC Breda.

”We have a young squad and this result will do wonders in terms of positivity in the future especially in the way in which we played today ”.
