Following their relegation, German club VFB Stuttgart have appointed Dutchman Jos Luhukay as their new head coach.

luhukayThe 52-year-old replaces has signed a two-year deal and replaces Jurgen Kramny. Luhukay has previously been at many Bundesliga clubs including FC Koln, SC Paderborn, Borussia Monchengladbach, FC Augsburg and Hertha Berlin.

This is what Jochen Röttgermann, Stutgart’s director of marketing and sales had to say about the appointment,

“Joe Luhukay is a very experienced coach, who has proved his range of qualities in his previous roles. He’s got a wide understanding of German football and has already gained promotion to the Bundesliga with three clubs as a coach. He’s in a very good position to assess the challenges facing us in the coming weeks and months and made it clear that he really wanted to work for VfB.”
