The 22-year-old has been a key member of Feyenoord’s defence since making his first team debut in 2012, making 102 appearances for the club so far.
Kongolo extended his contract in Rotterdam to 2018 in January, but the defender could be set for a move abroad this summer. Voetbal International is reporting on Tuesday night that Bundesliga duo Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen, along with Premier League side Sunderland are all following the versatile defender closely and could make a move this summer.
Capable of playing at centre back or as a full-back, Kongolo has two caps for the Dutch national team, and was part of the Netherlands squad that finished third at the World Cup in 2014.
Just say no. He is signed through 2018 and Feyenoord doesn’t need the money per sea. Now if someone offers 15+ million then maybe.
Last time I remember, we have Stam and Frank De Boer, which attracted Manchester United and Barcelona.
Now we managed to attract Sunderland !! Eredivisie really needs some change.. Don’t you think?
