The 5 times capped Swedish international celebrates his birthday today by putting pen to paper to play in South Wales for the next three years. He becomes the Swans’ third signing of the summer after Andre Ayew and Franck Tabanou were added earlier this month. The 26 year old is expected to offer competition to Lukasz Fabianski in the Swansea goal.
Nordfeldt surpassed 100 games for the Frisians this season, impressing between the sticks on many occassions. The Swede also hit a century of appearances for Brommapojkarna back in his home country before leaving for the Eredivisie in 2012. Heerenveen who finished 7th in the Eredivisie this campaign, reached the Europa League play-offs in each of Nordfeldt’s three seasons at the club.
