Last week there were reports that Barcelona had made a move to sign the Serbian on a loan deal until the end of the season but Ajax said no.
Tadic had only signed a new seven-year deal in Amsterdam last summer, which will bind him to the club after his playing career is over.
Speaking to Veronica Inside, De Telegraaf chief Valentijn Driessen said, “Barcelona wanted to rent him, but Ajax said no. They already miss Ziyech, Neres and Blind. That would be too much of a good thing,”
Driessen believes Tadic would have loved the move, though, “Tadic would have loved it, that is clear. When will a 31-year-old end up in Barcelona? They won’t come back for him in the summer.”
After Ajax blocked his transfer, Tadici will be “lost in space” for a long time! Good job!
