Dick Advocaat has confirmed that Oussama Tannane has played his final match with Utrecht after an incident at the training ground.

Utrecht confirmed on Friday morning that Tannane was no longer part of the club’s first team squad but did not give the reason why. According to Voetbal International, the forward was the protagonist in a training ground incident earlier this week.

At his press conference, Dick Advocaat said Tannane will never play for the club again, “There is no turning back for Tannane. He will no longer play at FC Utrecht. We did not think he could do what he did on the field. I did see it coming a bit, but you can not prevent some things. It is a pity.”

The 24-year-old winger is on loan at Utrecht from French side Saint Etienne. He has made 15 Eredivisie appearances this season, scoring once.
