According to Algemeen Dagblad, Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag was a candidate for Chelsea in January.

In January, Chelsea sacked Frank Lampard and then quickly appointed Thomas Tuchel as his successor.

However, AD is reporting that Chelsea also considered Erik ten Hag as a possible replacement for Lampard. However, Chelsea went with Tuchel, who was without a club.

Ten Hag was linked with Borussia Monchengladbach by BILD, but AD has reports that the Ajax boss has not spoken to the German club.
