Now there is an army full of new young players waiting to be the next superstars that once played in the Eredivisie. I have made a list of players to watch in the Eredivisie now. Nickname:        Promessi
Born:                  Amsterdam (The Netherlands)
Age:                    22
Current club:  FC Twente

Quincy Promes started his career in the Ajax youth academy, but in 2008 he was transferred to HFC Haarlem. That club played at the  time in the second league of Netherlands. In 2009, when HFC Haarlem went bankrupt, a 17-year-old Promes chose an adventure at FC Twente.

He played for 3 years in the FC Twente youth academy, and then became a champion with the second team of FC Twente in 2012. After that season the Enschede club decided to loan him out to Go Ahead Eagles. For the Deventer based club, Promes scored 13 times in 34 matches as he managed to drag Go Ahead Eagles to the Eredivisie.

Last season Promes made his debut in the starting eleven for FC Twente. The now 22-year old scored 11 times in his first season and became an instant crowd favourite with the Twente faithful.

Promes made his debut for the Netherlands national team in a friendly with France in March, and was named in the provisional World Cup squad by Louis van Gaal, but was eventually left at home. Promes has attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund this summer but the quick winger/midfielder has decided to stay at FC Twente, and sign a contract extension.

Quincy Promes is for sure one of the players to watch this season.
