Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettinho is aiming to bolster his squad in the summer ahead of another title challenge and participation in the Champions League. English newspaper The Telegraph is reporting that Ajax defender Joel Veltman and midfielder Davy Klaassen are both targets for the London club.
Klaassen is being heavily linked with a move away from Amsterdam this summer and has already been named as a target for Napoli and Everton. He would have to compete for an attacking midfield role with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
Veltman only has 12 months left on his deal with Ajax and has been scouted by Spurs on several occasions. The English side are impressed with his versatility, with Veltman capable as a centre-back and on the right of defence.
