Matthijs de Ligt made his Juventus debut on Sunday in a 3-2 friendly defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 19-year-old sealed his move from Ajax to Turin last week and was named on the bench for Sunday’s friendly in Singapore.

Erik Lamela gave Tottenham the lead but goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo turned the game around in the second half.

In the 63rd minute, De Ligt entered the pitch for his debut but moments later, Lucas Moura equalised for Tottenham. In injury time, Spurs sealed victory with Harry Kane finding the net with an extraordinary lob from the halfway line.
