Willems not interested in Monaco
According to De Telegraaf, Jetro Willems is set to turn down a move to French side Monaco.
The left back is set to depart PSV this summer, but the 22-year-old will wait out for the right club and doesn’t see a move to Monaco as the right one for his career.
Stans chooses NAC Breda
Free agent Jeff Stans has decided to join Eerste Divisie side NAC Breda, signing a three-year contract.
The former Excelsior midfielder was a target for both Twente and Willem II but has decided that NAC Breda is the right club for him. Stans told the clubs website, “I’ve come to an age and point in my life that processes are very important, what a club can and will do. I therefore have made a choice for the overall picture and the potential of the club. “
Groningen eye Icelandic international
Dagblad van het Noorden is reporting that Groningen are interested in signing Icelandic international left back Ari Skúlason.
Groningen technical director Peter Jeltema has traveled to France to watch Skúlason in action at the Euros and is now keen on making a deal with the players club OB.
ADO Den Haag lining up Jurjus and Jones
ADO Den Haag are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer after losing Martin Hansen and according to Voetbal International have targeted Hidde Jurjus and Brad Jones.
Jurjus was excellent for De Graafschap last season, but the 22-year-old is expected to leave after the clubs relegation, while Jones is a free agent after leaving NEC Nijmegen at the end of the season.
Scott to miss out on Willem II deal
Chelsea youngster Kyle Scott is set to miss out on a deal with Willem II despite impressing on trial.
The youngster has played in both Willem II’s friendly wins over the past two days, and impressed Edwin van de Looi but according to Voetbal International, the USA international is not the type of player he is looking for. Scott is an attacking midfielder, but Willem II are looking for a winger.
No final decision on the player will be made until the end of the week.
