Friday heading for the Eredivisie?
According to Africanfootball.com, Norwegian league top scorer Fred Friday could be heading to the Eredivisie this summer. His agent is reportedly in talks with a number of Dutch clubs.
The 21-year-old Nigerian, who plays for Lillestrom has topped the league’s scoring charts with eight goals.
Werder Bremen hoping to loan PSV youngster
According to Peruvian newspaper Trome, Werder Bremen have enquired about the possibility of signing PSV winger Beto Luiz da Silva on loan for next season.
The youngster, who joined PSV earlier this year on a free transfer is currently starring for his country at the Copa America, and no decision is expected on his future until he returns to pre-season in Eindhoven.
The 19-year-old scored twice in 16 Eerste Divisie appearances for Jong PSV last season.
Everton looking at Cillessen
According to the Daily Mirror, new Everton coach Ronald Koeman is looking to sign Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen this summer.
Everton are looking for a replacement for Tim Howard, who left for the MLS this summer, and have identified the Netherlands no 1 as their top target. The 27-year-old has a contract in Amsterdam until 2018.
Kieft urges Janssen to join Tottenham
Dutch legend Wim Kieft has urged AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen to join Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The Eredivisie top scorer held talks with Tottenham last week and writing in his De Telegraaf column, Kieft has told the forward to believe in himself and provide a challenge to Harry Kane.
Kieft wrote, “If Janssen has to choose between Ajax and Tottenham, he must go to London.
“Yes there is Harry Kane. What could be better to try without any pressure as number 12 or 13 to make the great Kane nervous?
“Regardless of the adventure and the financial gains, Janssen can only get better by training with better players every day.”
PSV bid for Portuguese attacker
PSV have bid €5 million for Galatasaray attacker Bruma according to NTVspor. However, the offer has been rejected with Galatasaray holding out for at least €8 million.
The 21-year-old joined Galatasaray from Sporting Lisbon in 2013, but has only made 27 league appearances for the club, spending last season on loan with Spanish side Real Sociedad.
