Toivonen’s current deal with PSV ends in the summer, and although there is an agreement for the Swede to stay another year should no move occur in January, it is likely the Eindhoven club will look to sell.
According to Raiola, Besiktas are interested, and PSV Eindhoven director Marcel Brands also confirmed to Voetbal Internationals that the agent had informed him of the Turkish club.
Brands said, “That’s what he said to me. I have no concrete bid in, but I notice that the interest in Ola is starting to come.”
Norwich City failed with their bid for the 27-year-old in the summer, but Newcastle United, and Liverpool are reportedly interested in bringing Toivonen to England.
Since joining PSV from Swedish side Malmo, Toivonen has made 136 appearances in the Eredivisie, scoring 60 goals. So far this season the 35 time Swedish international has been in and out of the first team under Philip Cocu, starting only seven games in the Eredivisie.
