The deal was confirmed on FC Twente’s website, after the player completed his medical, and signed his four year contract with the club.
Mokhtar has been one of the star performers for PEC Zwolle this season, as the club top the Eredivisie season, after four wins, and a draw, but now leaves for Enschede.
The 22 year old was a youth player with PSV Eindhoven, but never made an appearance for the club, but spent the 2011/12 season on loan with FC Eindhoven, scoring eight goals in 25 appearances.
The attacker then moved to Zwolle last summer, for a fee of around €600,000, and impressed in his first full Eredivisie season, netting six times in 34 games, as the club easily survived, after promotion the previous season.
Youness Mokhtar told the official Twente website: “I’m glad I’m going to FC Twente, this club in terms of playing style fits very well with me and I want to develop myself here. I know that the competition at FC Twente is great, but that can also help me to become a better player. ”
Mokhtas was born in Utrecht, and represented Netherlands at youth level, but then switched to Morocco, but has so far only played for their U-21 side.
