FC Twente has confirmed that goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall will join the club from PSV Eindhoven this summer.

The 30-year-old is out of contract with PSV Eindhoven in the summer and will then move to Enschede, signing a four-year deal with FC Twente.

Unnerstall is the likely replacement for Joel Drommel, who is set to depart Twente in the summer.

Twente director Jan Streur told the club’s website, “As is known, Joël will take the next step next summer and we did not want to wait too long to bring in a good experienced keeper.

“Lars is a great goalkeeper for FC Twente. He has been playing in the Eredivisie for a number of seasons and has been able to distinguish himself many times. He did that at VVV, but also in the games for PSV.”
