Twente had already failed this month with moves for Bartholomew Ogbeche and Richairo Zivkovic, but Rene Hake finally has a new striker with Oskar Zawada joining until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old is yet to make his first team debut at Wolfsburg, but has scored twice in four matches for the club’s reserves this season.
Twente technical director Ted van Leeuwen told the club’s official website, “Oskar had long been high on our list and we are glad that we can add him to the selection.
“In the context of the relegation battle, we looked for a long time for an experienced striker. Because our resources are limited, we were not in an ideal competitive position.”
“Nevertheless, we are pleased with Oskar.”
