The 29-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year contract in Enschede after leaving PEC Zwolle, where he was only tied to a six-month deal that was signed in January.

Holla said on the deal, “During my talks with the club I had a quick click and good feeling. With my experience, I hope to make a significant contribution to the team and with young players. I had a lovely time in England, but this season was also nice to play in the Netherlands. Next season at FC Twente is for me a beautiful new step.”

Holla played for VVV Venlo, and ADO Den Haag before signing for English side Brighton in 2014. After two years he returned to Netherlands with PEC Zwolle where he made 17 league appearances, scoring twice. Holla signs for Twente with the assumption that Kamohelo Mokotjo will leave this summer.
