According to L’Equipe, UEFA will announce next week that the European Championships will be moved to 2021.

UEFA announced that they will hold a meeting to discuss the effect of the Coronavirus on their big tournaments, like the Champions League and this summer’s European Championships.

According to L’Equipe, UEFA are likely to postpone the European Championships until the summer of 2021.

This is still to be negotiated and could have a major impact on the calendar for next year, with the Women’s Euro’s to be played next summer and the World Cup qualifiers to get underway.

The delay of the tournament will be frustrating for Ronald Koeman, but could also be of advantage, with Memphis Depay, Steven Bergwijn and Donyell Malen all recovering from serious injuries.
